Our suggestion: compare Sutton Coldfield for a local stay and Birmingham for a city break, then check how your base connects with the official tournament transport.

Tickets
Buy through the official ticket page. The headline starts at £30; check the selected day and ticket category in the live basket. A transfer function does not mean every private resale is authorised. Avoid social-media screenshots and unsolicited ticket offers. Read the organiser’s transfer and resale conditions first.

Check the event, year, day and age category. Avoid ticket screenshots and unsolicited resale offers. Use only the organiser’s permitted transfer or resale route.
Tickets and what the upgrades include
The DP World Tour says 2027 British Masters tickets are on sale. The package page advertises general admission from £30, The Vantage from £90, The Lakeview from £180 and the 72 Lounge from £300. These are listed starting prices checked in October 2026. Select the exact date and party to see the price you would pay, including any age category, availability and checkout charges.
General admission is the starting point for watching around the course. The Vantage is advertised at the 10th with a reserved viewing and bar area plus food and drink vouchers. The Lakeview is described between the 9th and 18th greens with covered viewing, while the 72 Lounge is a hospitality option. Compare the written catering, seating and parking terms. A voucher and a complimentary bar are different benefits, and a product's name alone does not explain the access.
Our suggestion: spend first on the day and travel arrangement that lets you relax. An upgrade can be useful for a group that values a defined meeting place or covered viewing, but some visitors would rather have two ordinary golf days. Check children's and companion ticket rules directly before ordering; the available 2027 pages did not provide a complete readable age tariff. Use the organiser's own ticket links and keep each person's admission accessible before arriving.

Getting there
For British Masters 2027 at The Belfry, plan the station or airport transfer as part of the outward booking. Save both directions. Check the final event approach.
Rail to Birmingham International and the event connection
For last year's 2026 tournament, the organiser provided a free shuttle from Birmingham International station to the public car park. Its published journey guidance described a service from Wednesday to Sunday and accessible boarding. The final 2027 station connection and timetable were not available in the official material used for this page. Our suggestion: use that previous arrangement to frame your questions, then book the exact 2027 journey once its instructions are released.
Birmingham International and Birmingham New Street are different stations. If staying in the city centre, check the railway link to the organiser's chosen interchange as part of the daily journey. Do not assume a central Birmingham room means a short walk to a tournament shuttle. Include getting from your property to the station, train waiting time, the event connection and the approach from the drop-off point.
On the return, allow space for the crowd leaving the course and for the shuttle queue before choosing a reserved onward service. Our suggestion: avoid a last connection that requires every part of the journey to work perfectly. A later train or another night locally can be a better fit if you want to watch the final group. Arrange railway assistance with your operator and ask the event separately about the transfer onto its vehicles.
Driving, taxis and Birmingham Airport
Last year's 2026 travel instructions directed spectators to a public car park off the A4091 and specifically warned against using the main resort entrance. Taxis also used the public car park. Parking was charged separately, and a temporary footbridge connected the car park with the public entrance. Those arrangements belonged to 2026; the new event needs its own directions and purchase terms.
Our suggestion: if driving, wait for the 2027 spectator parking instructions, save them before departure and follow the event signs on the approach. A resort postcode can send a satnav towards an entrance you cannot use with a public ticket. Ask about the accessible alternative if a temporary bridge, steps or a long approach would be difficult. Do not instruct a taxi to collect you at reception unless the event confirms that is allowed.
Birmingham Airport is an option for visitors arriving by air. Compare the airport-area accommodation and onward transfer with a city-centre stay, taking your arrival time into account. An airport hotel may be practical for a late flight but can feel isolated for a multi-night holiday if meals and transport need separate journeys. Our suggestion: arrive before your first ticketed day, particularly if flying with checked luggage, so a delayed flight does not consume the golf you have travelled to see.

Dates, format and the Brabazon setting
The official DP World Tour schedule places the Husqvarna British Masters hosted by Sir Nick Faldo at The Belfry Hotel & Resort on 19–22 August 2027. The ticket directory lists the wider public week as 18–22 August. That gives you a clear distinction when choosing leave and accommodation: the championship rounds run Thursday to Sunday, while a Wednesday product belongs to the wider event programme.
The Brabazon is the course associated with the tournament. The Belfry's own course information highlights the 10th and 18th through its Ryder Cup history, including Seve Ballesteros's drive on the 10th and Sam Torrance's winning putt in 1985. You do not need to know that history to enjoy the day, but those holes explain why so many spectators have a particular part of the course in mind before arriving.
Last year's official spectator FAQ described a 72-hole stroke-play event, with a cut after two rounds and a hole-by-hole play-off if required. Our suggestion: choose a weekday for exploring the course and a weekend day if you want the sharper focus of the closing contest. A two-day visit with an overnight stay is easier to pace than trying to combine an early journey, a full walking day and a late drive home.
A day at the event
2026 edition, for guidance. PGA Village and Backyard have catering/toilets/refills. Information & Accessibility tent by Welcome Tent. Practice chipping/bunker at driving range. Cashless, contactless only. Searched backpacks; small packed lunch/soft drink permitted. No glass/alcohol or luggage deposit. Folding chairs permitted. Read the spectator rules.
A suggested sequence for your day
- After gates open: clear security and collect the site map.
- Check the draw and find the practice range viewing.
- Follow an early group or settle beside a favourite hole.
- Take food, water and toilet breaks between viewing sessions.
- Choose afternoon holes with your return walk in mind.
- Leave in time for your booked return connection.
Our suggestion for British Masters: start near the practice range if spectator access is open, watch an early group, then settle by a closing hole after a food break. Check the leaderboard before moving. Leave enough time for your booked return.
Getting back to your accommodation
For a Birmingham city-centre stay, search the train connection after the event bus reaches Birmingham International. Tamworth and Lichfield visitors should plan their own final leg rather than assume the Birmingham shuttle reaches those towns. The 2026 taxi collection point was at the front of the public car park, not the hotel entrance. Confirm the 2027 arrangement with your driver, allow for the footbridge or accessible transfer, and avoid an unlit roadside wait.
2026 edition, for guidance
The last event shuttle to Birmingham International was 20:00 on Wednesday and 20:30 Thursday–Sunday. Recheck the 2027 departure and your connecting train before choosing when to leave the course.

Where to stay: Sutton Coldfield
Our suggestion: start with Sutton Coldfield if the golf is the main purpose of your trip. Compare each room by its exact position and your planned course transfer rather than assuming the town name settles the journey. The Belfry's event entrance and car park can be managed separately from ordinary resort access. A local taxi can be sensible, but arrange both legs and establish the permitted collection point.
Look for breakfast arrangements that suit your start time. A property can offer a good breakfast yet begin service after you want to leave. Ask about an alternative or plan to eat later at the event. Check parking terms if bringing a car, including whether it can stay after check-out on your final day. For an apartment or holiday let, read the arrival procedure and any minimum-night requirement before comparing it with a hotel room.
If travelling with friends, settle room-sharing expectations early. A property advertised for four guests may rely on a living-room sofa bed or shared bathroom arrangements that do not suit your party. Our suggestion: compare the total for the exact beds you need. A slightly less central property with a clear transfer plan may be more comfortable than a nominally closer listing with an inconvenient layout.
Where to stay: Birmingham city centre
Our suggestion: Birmingham city centre suits a golf trip that also needs a choice of evening plans. Choose the location around your intended station and return journey, rather than a broad city-centre label. If the 2027 event again uses Birmingham International for its shuttle, you will need to account for the rail connection from the city. Plan that in both directions before deciding a room is convenient.
A city base can work particularly well for a mixed party. Someone skipping the golf can make independent plans while the tournament visitors leave early. Agree where to meet afterwards and avoid dinner reservations that assume the last group finishes at an exact time. The final return from the venue can be slower than the outward journey, especially when many spectators decide to leave together.
Compare accommodation with breakfast, parking and local transport included in your calculation. If arriving by train, a property within a manageable walk of your station can reduce luggage handling and taxi costs. If driving into Birmingham, check the property's actual parking arrangement and any relevant city driving requirements through official information. Our suggestion: once settled, avoid moving the car every day unless it materially simplifies the course journey.
Where to stay: Tamworth and Lichfield
Our suggestion: Tamworth is worth comparing if you want a base outside Birmingham and have a workable road transfer. Check the distance from your room to the route you will actually use, then account for event traffic and the public parking approach. A railway station nearby may help the journey into the region without necessarily helping the final journey to The Belfry. Treat those as separate decisions.
Lichfield provides another town-based alternative. It may suit visitors extending the stay beyond golf, but choose it only after comparing the full daily transfer. If relying on taxis, ask operators about advance bookings, capacity for your party and the permitted tournament collection point. For a shared group transfer, decide whether everyone will leave together; saving on a vehicle is less useful if one person feels obliged to remain long after they are tired.
For both bases, compare the same dates and cancellation conditions. A room that looks cheaper for one night may not be cheaper across a four-day visit with additional transport. Our suggestion: weigh ease against price explicitly: how early you must start, whether you can return independently and how much time remains for dinner. A modest saving can be poor value if it makes every morning and evening awkward.
Where to stay: the NEC and airport area
Our suggestion: the NEC and Birmingham Airport area is worth comparing for visitors arriving by air or intending to use Birmingham International station. The name covers different properties with different access arrangements. Check whether the route to the station is walkable, requires a transfer or crosses an awkward road. Do not assume every room described as an airport hotel is attached to the terminal or that its transport is included.
If the 2027 shuttle repeats the previous station connection, this area may simplify the golf journey. Wait for the actual operating point and timetable before treating that as settled. Ask about early breakfast, late check-in and luggage storage; these details matter on a short trip. A room convenient for a late flight can be less convenient for an evening meal if it leaves the group dependent on another journey.
Our suggestion: for a multi-night visit, compare the whole stay with a city-centre option, including food and the flexibility to split up. For a one-night trip built around a flight, airport convenience may dominate. On departure day, keep enough margin to collect luggage and reach the correct check-in point after the course. A play-off or weather delay should not put the flight itself at risk.

Evenings, viewing positions and pacing your day
Our suggestion: keep the evening after your first golf day near your accommodation. Birmingham offers the city-break approach, while Sutton Coldfield, Tamworth and Lichfield let you stay closer to the character of your chosen base. Check restaurants through their own websites and reserve at a time that allows for the course exit. With a group, agree an easy alternative meal so that a delayed finish does not become a last-minute negotiation.
At the course, the 10th and the closing area are obvious places to investigate because of their history and the advertised 2027 products. Public access and grandstand arrangements need the event's own map. Last year's FAQ described a separate 18th-green grandstand pass with its own admission conditions; do not assume that an ordinary ticket reserves a seat. A premium area also has boundaries that a public course path may not cross.
Our suggestion: walk part of the course in the morning, take a proper break and choose a settled viewing point later. Stand where you can follow the landing area or the putts rather than simply the largest crowd. Keep quiet when a player prepares, and use marshal-controlled crossings. If someone in the party has less stamina, agree a nearby meeting place and a way to leave independently without disrupting everyone else's day.
Sutton Coldfield: food and drink
- Pizza by Goli — Italian food on Birmingham Road.
- Quinto Lounge — A café-bar listed in the town’s food and drink guide.
- Chelo Persian Kitchen & Bar — A Persian dining option at Maney Corner.
Accessibility and families
The 2026 accessibility guidance described an accessible shuttle avoiding the temporary footbridge, with Event Mobility beside the entrance. It also required vulnerable-person wristbands for under-12s. These are 2026 edition details, for guidance: confirm the 2027 collection procedure, family ticket terms and route with the organiser.
Official accessibility / event contact information
Food, packing, phones and accessibility
The 2026 spectator FAQ described water refills, public toilets and an Information & Accessibility tent. It also advised visitors to bring their own power bank because phone charging stations were not provided. Use the new map for 2027 facility locations and check the current ground regulations for cameras, bag sizes, folding seats and outside food. Silence your phone beside play and move away from the ropes to make a call.
Our suggestion: pack for walking on grass in changeable August weather. Shoes with grip, a waterproof layer, sun protection and a spare warm layer are more useful than carrying a heavy bag of extras. Keep your ticket instructions and transport information accessible offline where the official system allows it. Share tickets using the organiser's approved method before arrival, rather than assuming a screenshot or forwarded email will work.
Last year's accessibility information described off-site accessible parking and an accessible shuttle to the entrance area. Ask what will apply in 2027, including companion admission, equipment hire, viewing platforms, toilet facilities and the route from your arrival point. Explain any difficulty with grass, steps or a footbridge. Our suggestion: choose accommodation only after checking the room and bathroom details directly, and request Passenger Assist separately for any rail journey. Fewer transfers can be more valuable than a small reduction in the distance to the course.
British Masters station connection
For the British Masters, the 2026 free event shuttle ran only from Birmingham International, about twice an hour with a roughly 25-minute trip. Last shuttle: Wednesday 20:00; Thursday–Sunday 20:30. Book a taxi from nearer stations. Normal buses do not pass close to the resort. Confirmed: 2026 shuttle plan · The Belfry’s travel FAQs.
