Tickets

Official tickets and current admission terms

Book through the organiser.

Check the event, year, day and age category. Avoid ticket screenshots and unsolicited resale offers. Use only the organiser’s permitted transfer or resale route.

Ticket release and the junior offer

Confirmed: the 2027 venue announcement says early-bird tickets will go on sale in due course and that under-16s will again attend free. Check the official ticket release for the full 2027 tariff and age categories. Use the official event ticket link for the release and read the age terms at checkout.

For comparison, the 2026 FAQ required children to have a valid ticket even when their admission was free and encouraged advance purchase. It also described email delivery through the ticket provider. Our suggestion: keep a free child's admission document with the adult's and check the number of children allowed per booking, any supervision rule and identification requirements in the new terms.

A general-admission day is a useful starting point if you want to walk and sample several holes. If hospitality is offered, compare the viewing position, food, drinks, covered space and parking with how you want to spend the day. A package that keeps you at one hole may suit a social group, while a keen follower may prefer roaming. Price the whole visit, including the course transfer and accommodation, before deciding that a more expensive ticket offers better value.

Hospitality and upgrades

The 2027 move announcement promises enhanced hospitality and family entertainment, but does not publish a complete package menu. Enquire through the organiser's official contact rather than assuming a K Club package transfers to Ballyman Glen. Ask which food, drinks, viewing area and parking are included before committing.

The 2027 announcement says under-16s will be free. Its current FAQ describes the 2026 K Club edition and instead says “16 and under” need a valid free ticket. Those boundaries differ. Use the 2027 checkout to settle a 16-year-old's admission and accompanying-adult conditions. The old FAQ's 07:45 gates, taxi tent, two-minute car-park walk and catering locations must not be presented as directions for the new venue. Accessible routes, parking and any mobility hire at Dun Laoghaire need confirmation with the 2027 organiser. Give a description of your actual needs when enquiring, rather than assuming that a club's everyday access arrangements cover a crowded temporary event site.

Getting there

For KPMG Women’s Irish Open 2027, plan the station or airport transfer as part of the outward booking. Save both directions. Check the final event approach.

Dublin Airport and arriving from Britain

Our suggestion: compare Dublin Airport first for an air journey from Britain, using actual flight times, luggage costs and the onward trip to your accommodation. A late arrival followed by an early first tee may favour an extra arrival night. Reserve a transfer with enough space for the whole party and ask where the driver will meet you after baggage collection.

Confirmed: Irish Ferries operates Holyhead–Dublin, giving travellers a direct ferry option to compare with flying. A vehicle can simplify luggage and a wider Irish holiday, but you still need tournament parking arrangements. For foot passengers, plan the port connection as a separate part of the journey. Allow the operator's full check-in margin and read its current travel-document requirements.

If starting in the Liverpool area, Stena Line's Birkenhead–Belfast route is another option, with a longer onward journey south. Compare the complete itinerary rather than assuming Liverpool provides a direct passenger sailing into Dublin. Our suggestion: use the ferry route that fits your wider holiday and a realistic rest pattern. Arrive with time to settle into the accommodation before a full golf day instead of combining an overnight crossing, a long transfer and many hours on your feet.

The club’s directions approach from the M11 at Bray North, then Old Connaught Avenue and Ballyman Road. Use the club’s current directions for the final turn, and the championship’s spectator traffic plan when available. The clubhouse address is Ballyman Road, Enniskerry, A98 F653.

Bray Daly station to the mapped club area is approximately 5.4 km (3.4 miles) by road. This is a mapped road distance, not an event shuttle or walking route. View the route; book the course transfer separately.

On the day

2027 spectator gate, park-and-ride, station shuttle and taxi pick-up not yet published.

For KPMG Women’s Irish Open 2027, use the signed event drop-off and collection arrangements. Agree the taxi return in advance. Check permitted event collection points.

DART bases and the last leg

Confirmed: Iarnród Éireann's Dublin-area route information lists Dún Laoghaire, Dalkey and Bray on the coastal rail network, and its Bray station page provides onward-travel information. These links can be useful for city visits and evening flexibility. They do not establish a train service directly to the golf club.

Our suggestion: choose your station around your accommodation and wider plans, then solve the course connection separately. When the event announces transport, compare any official pickup points with the first and last trains you can actually use. A good outward connection is only half the calculation; leave time to return from the course before the service you need.

The 2027 event's shuttle, park-and-ride and spectator parking arrangements have not been established from the available sources. If using a taxi, book both legs and ask where event-day collection is allowed. For drivers, follow the final spectator signs rather than the club's normal clubhouse directions. Keep the parking confirmation on the correct phone and ensure the nominated driver knows where the group will meet. Avoid a plan that depends on every person leaving the final green at precisely the same moment.

The course and site layout

Use the KPMG Women’s Irish Open 2027 course guide to choose your viewing holes, then the edition-specific spectator map for entrances, public crossings, grandstands, fan facilities and toilets. The final 2027 layout is not yet published.

Official spectator information / map; check the edition

Women’s tournament golf at Ballyman Glen

Confirmed: the organiser has selected Dun Laoghaire Golf Club for the 2027 KPMG Women's Irish Open, a Ladies European Tour event. Its announcement identifies a 27-hole venue at Ballyman Glen, near the Sugarloaf Mountains, which hosted the 2016 Curtis Cup. This is the club's current inland location, rather than a course beside Dún Laoghaire's harbour.

Our suggestion: treat the championship as an opportunity for a South Dublin and Wicklow break with one or more substantial days watching golf. A coastal room can make evenings attractive, but the daily course transfer still needs planning. Compare the actual connection before deciding which seaside town is the best base.

For new spectators, follow a small number of players closely rather than trying to recognise everyone on the leaderboard. Watching how the same group manages tee shots, approaches and putting over several holes is a useful introduction. Then stop at a green and compare other players' choices. Agree the length of day with your companions before buying tickets, especially if some would prefer an afternoon outside to a dawn-to-dusk walk.

The official event week is 2–8 August

Confirmed: the organiser's venue announcement gives 2–8 August 2027. Those dates describe the event week. KPMG’s official sponsorship page confirms championship rounds on 5–8 August 2027. The wider week runs from 2–8 August; check public access and admission separately for any earlier activity.

Our suggestion: use the event week to begin comparing accommodation, then match your actual nights with the published spectator programme and tickets. A week containing an event can include preparation and activities with different admission rules. If you have only one day available, choose it from the official public programme rather than inferring a familiar four-day pattern.

The previous edition took place at The K Club in 2026. Many current FAQ answers still describe that venue, including precise entrance, catering and walking details. They should not be used as directions to the 2027 course. If you visited before, make a fresh route plan. Check the year displayed on maps, tickets and any saved parking document so that an old email does not send you to the wrong county or the wrong entrance.

The club is not at the harbour

Confirmed: Dun Laoghaire Golf Club's own contact page places it at Ballyman Glen on the Dublin–Wicklow border. Its history explains that the club moved from the seaside town in 2007. This is the most important geographical distinction in the trip: choosing a room close to Dún Laoghaire station does not put you beside the first tee.

Our suggestion: enter the current club's full name and Ballyman location when planning a transfer, then replace the everyday arrival point with the tournament's public entrance once it is announced. If a taxi company asks which golf club you mean, provide the official page rather than relying on pronunciation or a town-centre landmark.

Look at the room, rail station and course as three separate points. A seaside base can be enjoyable even when a road transfer is required, provided you budget and plan for it. Families should be particularly wary of describing a connection as a short walk without checking the actual route, gradients and footways. Use a suitable vehicle where needed and ask the organiser about pedestrian access rather than improvising along a busy approach road.

Bray, Dún Laoghaire, Dalkey or Dublin

Our suggestion: start with Bray if you want to compare a coastal base with the Ballyman side of the trip. Check the property's actual position, parking and transfer options. A room advertised under a broad destination name may still be inconvenient for both the station and the route to the course. Ask about early breakfast and late entry if the timetable requires them.

Dún Laoghaire suits visitors who want harbour-side evenings and rail access for the rest of their stay. Dalkey is another base to compare when the evening setting matters, but establish the daily road journey before choosing a non-refundable room. For either area, distinguish a pleasant seaside walk from the separate trip to the golf.

Dublin city gives a larger urban holiday and can suit companions with different daytime interests. Budget for travelling south to the course on golf days and consider where you will meet after play. Across all four bases, compare the total for your party, cancellation deadlines, kitchen facilities, parking and confirmed step-free access if required. Booking early gives you more time to compare suitable arrangements; select flexible terms while the public programme is developing.

A good first day watching the tournament

Our suggestion: begin at the public information point or map, note the available walking routes and choose a modest first loop. At a new host venue, learning the spectator layout will save wasted walking later. Identify toilets, refreshments and an exit before following a group away from the main village.

A useful day mixes movement with stillness. Follow a few holes to understand a player's rhythm, then watch several groups tackle one approach or putt. You will see the different ways golfers manage the same situation, and you can rest without losing the thread of the tournament. Keep an eye on the leaderboard so the action elsewhere still makes sense.

Specific 2027 viewing platforms, grandstands, gates and catering positions have not been established. Use the new spectator map when published instead of relying on the K Club's old hole numbers. If a favourite position is busy, ask staff for a quieter public alternative. Stay off maintenance routes, keep bags out of gangways and respect roped areas. Do not chase a group across the line of another hole; wait for an official crossing even when the next tee seems tantalisingly close.

A day at the event

Build your KPMG Women’s Irish Open 2027 visit around a manageable viewing route, breaks and the return connection. Find food, drinking water and toilets on arrival. Check the shop, screens and family activities on the map.

A suggested sequence for your day

  1. After gates open: clear security and collect the site map.
  2. Check the draw and find the practice range viewing.
  3. Follow an early group or settle beside a favourite hole.
  4. Take food, water and toilet breaks between viewing sessions.
  5. Choose afternoon holes with your return walk in mind.
  6. Leave in time for your booked return connection.

Phones, cameras and food: the previous edition

Confirmed: the 2026 FAQ prohibited cameras on competition days without accreditation but allowed phone cameras in silent mode with flash disabled. It allowed visitors' own food and drink except alcohol. These are the previous edition's rules; follow the 2027 conditions when they are published, especially as the venue is changing.

Our suggestion: minimise distractions before approaching a tee or green. Silence every device and avoid a conversation that can carry to a player you are not watching. If photography is permitted, follow the precise event restrictions and staff instructions. A phone in your pocket is less disruptive than a phone raised across another spectator's view as a player prepares.

Carry a small bag with rain protection, an extra layer, sun protection and comfortable footwear. Keep medical essentials and tickets easy to reach. A reusable bottle and suitable snacks can simplify a family day, subject to the new entry terms. Build in a planned stop for food rather than waiting until everyone is tired. In changing weather, use official shelter and suspension instructions. Leave the course tidily and bring home only the photographs and memories the event rules permit.

Our suggestion for Womens Irish Open: start near the practice range if spectator access is open, watch an early group, then settle by a closing hole after a food break. Check the leaderboard before moving. Leave enough time for your booked return.

Getting back to your accommodation

Dun Laoghaire Golf Club is at Ballyman Glen, near Enniskerry, inland from the coast. A DART ticket does not cover the missing course-to-station leg. Choose Bray or another station only after the organiser confirms the event transfer or you arrange a taxi. The 2027 shuttle, pick-up and road-management plan has not yet been published.

2026 operator timetable, for guidance: Iarnród Éireann's DART PDF valid from 20 April 2026 lists the final northbound departure from Bray (Daly) at 23:32 Monday–Friday, reaching Dublin Connolly at 00:20; on Saturday it is 23:31, reaching Connolly at 00:20; on Sunday 23:31 reaches Connolly at 00:19. These are typical non-event-day times; allow longer on event days. They are not confirmed August 2027 departures, and do not guarantee any further connection north of Connolly. Recheck the exact station, day and engineering notices in the rail planner.

Dublin Bus identifies the E1 as a 24-hour route serving Bray: there is no single final bus for that route under the current published operating pattern. That does not make it a shuttle from the golf club. Use the operator's timetable for your stop and the TFI planner to connect with your hotel. Go-Ahead Ireland's L15 links Bray Station and Enniskerry, but the dated timetable could not be retrieved reliably in this check, so no last L15 departure is quoted. Do not wait for an assumed late local bus. Pre-book the course transfer if the 2027 spectator plan does not provide one.

Check the 2026 DART/commuter timetable, Dublin Bus E-spine information and Go-Ahead’s current L15/service information for the entire route. These are previous-edition planning links, not confirmed 2027 last departures.

Make a weekend of it

An easy evening on the Dublin coast

Our suggestion: make your base part of the holiday rather than a place reached only for sleep. A coastal walk and a nearby meal can be enough after golf. Ask about restaurant hours for the actual night you plan to return, and leave enough time for a transfer, a shower and changing footwear before a reservation.

In Bray, keep the first evening local and use it to learn the route between your room and any transport point. In Dún Laoghaire or Dalkey, enjoy the setting without adding another complicated cross-city journey. In Dublin, arrange to meet companions at a clear central location or your accommodation rather than outside a busy course exit.

For families, a kitchen and somewhere to sit comfortably can matter more than a room with a dramatic view. Buy breakfast and snacks before the first early start, and agree who is preparing what if sharing an apartment. If some of the party leave the golf early, give them independent access to the room and a transport option. The group can then reunite for dinner without anyone being obliged to stay until the final putt.

Accessibility and families

Contact the KPMG Women’s Irish Open 2027 organiser before buying if you need companion admission, mobility hire, accessible parking or a shorter step-free route. Check junior tickets and accompanying-adult conditions for the booked edition.

Official accessibility / event contact information

Accessibility and a family-friendly plan

Confirmed: the 2026 FAQ said the event had no on-site hire provision for wheelchairs or mobility scooters, while welcoming visitors' own aids. That information belonged to The K Club edition. The 2027 hire, accessible parking, transport, companion admission and viewing arrangements for Dun Laoghaire Golf Club have not yet been established.

Our suggestion: ask the organiser about the precise visit you want to make. Describe your mobility aid, whether you can transfer to a vehicle and the distance you can comfortably cover. Request the route between the accessible entrance, toilets, a viewing area and the return transport. An answer about parking alone does not settle the rest of the day.

For children, select a duration that leaves energy for the journey back. Show them how to recognise marshals, agree a meeting point and stay together around crossing points. A pushchair needs a practical route, so ask about surfaces before bringing one. For accommodation, confirm entrances and bathrooms with the provider if access matters. Keep one straightforward fallback for a shorter day, such as a pre-agreed collection time, so the visit remains enjoyable when someone has seen enough golf.

Ferry routes and passport requirements

For the Women’s Irish Open crossing, from 28 September 2026, every passenger, including children, needs a valid passport or Irish passport card on Stena Line’s Holyhead–Dublin and Fishguard–Rosslare services and Irish Ferries’ Holyhead–Dublin and Pembroke–Rosslare services. Driving licences are not accepted on these routes. Confirmed: Stena passport requirements · Irish Ferries identification requirements.

Other main crossings: Cairnryan–Belfast and Cairnryan–Larne. Birkenhead also has Belfast sailings. Stena’s Liverpool-area Belfast terminal is at Birkenhead. Check the route’s ID rules before continuing into Ireland.

Frequently asked questions
